Hee Haw

Damon was able to take a day off work, so we decided to go to Hee Haw Farms for some much needed family time!!! We had a lot of fun even though it was super cold. We started with a nice hay ride through the corn fields. The kids were in "hog heaven" cuz candy was thrown at us throughout the ride by different characters. My favorite was Winnie the Pooh and Tigger! Why would you do that to yourself...really?
Colton had fun on the hay ride and really liked sitting next to daddy! After the hay ride, we took the kiddos for a horsey ride. I was so nervous because Colton and Micah were on the biggest of the two horses. Micah was totally "side-saddling" for most of the ride, and could've easily taken Colton right off the horse with him. I just chose not to look. They had so much fun!
Even though Bria wasn't feeling all that well, she had a lot of fun too! That girl loves horses!!! It was getting really cold, and started to sprinkle, so after the horsey rides, we decided to grab some pumpkins. We didn't have a wagon for the pumpkins, so Damon was carrying 4 pumpkins...and ended up dropping one in the process. Pretty humerous! They really need to have more wagons at this place! Luckily, on our way out a nice man found a wagon for us, and we were able to load the pumpkins and the kiddos in, and go out to the car.
By the time we got home, Micah had completely finished his ENTIRE bag of candy from the hay ride. It took us about 2 hours to calm that boy down! Let me tell you...that was a VERY long 2 hours! He was litterally bouncing off the walls...and the couch. We had fun though and luckily made it home before it started raining.
Damon and I were able to have his dad over to watch the kids tonight while we went "out". We went shopping for Micah. That boy is growing like a weed! He is 3 right??? He wears size 5/6 clothes...and has a 12 1/2 foot! All the pants he owns are "high-waters", none of his shoes fit him anymore ...and something really needed to be done quickly about that!
After that was done, we went out for hot cocoa...then to the grocery store. Doesn't sound like much of a date I'm sure...but it was great to get stuff done, without constantly tending to a child! That doesn't happen all that often, so it made for a nice evening!
